The project consisted of the comprehensive design and execution of the new EDF (Électricité de France) offices in Bogotá, within the prestigious Grupo Semana Building. From the outset, the objective was clear: to translate EDF’s corporate identity into a functional, modern, and highly collaborative space, respecting the guidelines of the international brand manual but adapting it to the local context.

The design proposes a professional, sober, and sophisticated environment, but with a strong focus on employee well-being and spatial efficiency. The layout was based on an open floor plan with collaborative work areas, fully equipped meeting rooms, phone booths for private meetings, and a break and wellness room that invites active disconnection. The EDF offices, also designed by AEI in 2023, experienced a staff growth of more than 50%, which is why they decided to move offices and expand their spaces, once again with our help.

One of the biggest challenges was to strike a balance between a modern corporate design and the conscious reuse of existing furniture and materials, in line with principles of sustainability and budget efficiency. Among the reused elements are: the existing carpet, the wooden acoustic ceiling panels, the installed curtain rods, and technical equipment such as HVAC. This approach required a high degree of adaptability, custom design, and collaborative work with suppliers and installers, ensuring a coherent, functional, and aesthetically harmonious result. The result is a space that reinforces EDF’s identity with a corporate, professional, and welcoming architectural language.
