Located in Bogotá D.C., Cundinamarca, at the Connecta 80 building (Carrera 72 No. 81B–13 – Floors 15 and 16), the new operational headquarters of EY is situated.
This new location’s primary objective is to deeply understand and reflect the organization’s culture. The design enhances spatial adaptability and responds intelligently and flexibly to contemporary collaborative dynamics.
The design of Floors 15 and 16 is inspired by nature as both a formal principle and a vision of the future, taking the Eastern Hills of Bogotá as its main reference.
The proposal stems from an abstract interpretation of the mountain range concept, giving rise to inhabitable landscapes that evoke the soft contours of the natural surroundings. Here, architecture does not seek to impose itself but rather to respond with respect and calm to the environmental context, creating spaces that feel more timeless than “trendy,” more serene than artificial.
The look and feel deliberately avoids visual saturation. Each element has been thoughtfully designed to highlight the authenticity of materials, celebrating their physical properties—such as wood grain, textile textures, the sinuosity of circulation paths, and visual permeability between spaces. It is not merely about aesthetics, but about an authentic expression of nature directly applied to the work environment.
The main challenge was ensuring that, as functional requirements evolved during the construction phase, the client’s objectives were consistently met while maintaining a design language aligned with their philosophy.
