Globant is an Argentine company that offers IT services and software development. AEI was commissioned to design the interior of a new headquarters in Tandil. The Project consists of four floors totaling 2975 m2 distributed in Globant’s iconic building designed by the Argentine architectural firm Alric Galindez Arquitectos.
The Project is developed based on the TANDILTOPIA concept, and its main objective is to highlight in each space, surreal scenarios that represent the Globant’s version of the city, taking as main components the natural wonders of different parts of the world.
The architectural distribution reflects an organic path and a scenario that allows to discover the spaces proposed by the architects of the building. It should be noted that the proposal was developed with the logic of having uniformity with the concept of the building, to walk through it and perceive it as a catalytic and iconic element that proposes landscapes and nature. Each of these spaces represents those landscapes of the surrealist city of the Globers.
The main difficulties of this project revolved around the simplicity that the floor plan should have, as the architects’ concept of the building does not include the interruption of the 360 degree visuals, concluding that the partitions of the proposed spaces should be in glass. By proposing all the partitions in glass, solving the carpentry and other elements that make up the building, the architects decided to use glass as the material of choice for the partition
