The Colombian-French Chamber has strengthened commercial ties between the two countries by promoting bilateral exchanges since its entry into the country. The entity strengthens relations by providing the necessary tools for the development of commercial and business activities. The project began as a competition from the Innovation area and after being awarded, it went directly to the preliminary design stage, since specific architectural and aesthetic changes were made.
The concept proposed is UMBRAL: Arches of connection, alluding to the ties created between the two countries which is represented through the arch; an architectural element that characterizes many French landmarks. The aesthetics focused on using colors that illustrate the architecture of this country and make them feel at home in these offices.
The main challenge was to meet the deadlines since the client’s main intention was to obtain a simple design that would allow it to be developed in a short period of time.
