Colmédica Prepagada is a Colombian company dedicated to providing healthcare services. It is keen to expand its presence and improve the user experience through innovation and infrastructure growth.
To this end, the company has sought to expand its network of clinics, with Colmédica Zafiro being one of its new offerings for users. This clinic is located in the Zula Shopping Center in Usaquén and aims to provide a VIP healthcare experience.
ZENsorial SERenity is the concept behind the design, which is based on the idea of evolving the perspective of medical centers, in line with Colmédica’s mission. To achieve this, it incorporates biophilic design and semiotics, two concepts that, when combined, create a sensory experience that replicates nature while conveying calm and tranquility, which will help reduce patients’ anxiety and stress.
The proposed design is inspired by nature, specifically the element of water. It is materialized through cool colors and organic shapes that emulate waves and fluid movements of water, generating a feeling of serenity and calm throughout the space.
The vinyl floors, with their sinuous and soft shapes, evoke the sensation of walking on a pier; the waiting areas resemble aquatic areas, while the corridors and walkways are interpreted as the structure of the pier itself.
